Finding a company list doesn't have to start with a blank spreadsheet. At CNPJ Data, you can search monthly files by State, City or CNAE (Brazil's official activity classification), choose between active and inactive companies and check how many records are available before creating an account.
Find your company list now
Search by State, City or CNAE and see how many records are available before creating your account.
Which filter is the best starting point?
State
Use this when your operation covers an entire state or when you want to compare coverage across different regions.
City
Use this for local prospecting, regional expansion, sales representatives and campaigns concentrated in a single municipality.
CNAE
Use this when industry is the main criterion in your ideal customer profile.
How to search in practice
- Go to the public file search.
- Choose between active and inactive companies.
- Select the month of the database you want to query.
- Pick State, City or CNAE depending on your goal.
- Review the files found and the number of companies in each one.
- Continue to download. Login or sign-up is only requested at this step.
City files are shown together with their state to avoid ambiguity. When a spreadsheet is too large for Excel, it is split into parts, which appear separately in the results.
Active or inactive companies?
Active companies are the right choice when your prospecting depends on organizations with an active registration status. The inactive option covers statuses other than active, such as canceled, suspended and closed companies, and can be useful for historical analysis, relationship recovery or market research.
Your choice should follow the purpose of your outreach. For a current commercial list, start with active companies and validate contact details before the first touch.
File search or Detailed Search?
The file search is the right tool when you want to find a ready-to-download file. If your question is how many companies exist in a niche defined by multiple criteria, use the Detailed Search. It returns a quantification of the niche, not necessarily a ready-made file.
