About the Databases
Source, format and updates
Where does the company data come from?⌄
The registration data comes from official public sources, mainly Receita Federal (Brazil's Federal Revenue Service), and is organized by CNPJ Data. Phone numbers and emails may not be available for every record.
How often are the databases updated?⌄
The databases are updated monthly, usually between the 10th and 15th, following the publication and processing schedule of the official data.
In which format are the lists delivered?⌄
Lists are delivered in CSV and Excel format, ready to be imported into your CRM, email marketing tools or spreadsheets.
What information is available for each company?⌄
The database may include CNPJ (Brazilian company registry ID), legal name, trade name, registered address, company size, share capital, opening date, registration status, CNAE (economic activity code) and other public fields. Phone and email availability varies by record.
Is the data LGPD compliant?⌄
CNPJ Data works with public registration data and encourages responsible use, in accordance with applicable legislation and the legitimate purposes of your operation. Public origin does not remove the responsibility of those who use the data.
Can I filter companies by region or activity?⌄
Yes, our platform allows filtering by State, City and CNAE (economic activity), enabling highly segmented lists for your prospecting.
About the Credits
How they work, expiration and usage
What are credits?⌄
Each credit equals one downloaded record. For example: if your spreadsheet has 10 thousand rows, you use 10 thousand credits to download it. You buy credits once and use them whenever you need.
Do credits expire?⌄
No. Your credits do not expire — you use them at your own pace, with no deadline pressure. You can download a list today and save the rest for another occasion.
How do I know how many credits I need?⌄
Consider the number of records in your list: a spreadsheet with 10 thousand rows requires 10 thousand credits. Remaining credits stay available for future downloads.
Can I use the credits on any list?⌄
Yes. Your credits can be used on any database available on the platform, whether by State, City or CNAE.
How do free samples work?⌄
You can download free samples from the databases to evaluate the data before buying the full file. You get 2 different samples per day at no cost; from the 3rd one, the sample's record count is charged in credits.
Can I accumulate credits from different purchases?⌄
Yes. All credits are added to your account and remain available for use at any time. There is no accumulation limit.
